The ‘Other Woman’ in the Cain Case

Even if you don’t remember her name, you’ve seen her face on television before - maybe only for a few seconds. She’s always the one standing beside the victim, holding her hand and trying to keep everything calm in the midst of chaos – and it’s always chaos when she’s around. Her name is Gloria Allred and she is one of the most high profile scandal attorney’s in the country. Allred, was the professional, middle-aged woman who was standing next to Sharon Bialek, the woman who accused Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain of inappropriate sexual behavior on Monday. You might be thinking; “Haven’t I seen her standing next to someone else lately too?” To continue reading, click on: http://blogs.christianpost.com/churn/2011/11/the-other-woman-08/

NYC Mayor Says Candidates MUST Believe in Science, Global Warming

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg went on a rant at Columbia University on Thursday when criticized the GOP presidential candidates who fail to push the left-wing agenda of evolution and global warming. “We have presidential candidates who don’t believe in science,” Bloomberg told the international economic forum. “I mean think about it – can you imagine a company of any size in the world where the CEO said, "oh, I don’t believe in science’ and that person surviving to the end of that day? Are you kidding me? It’s mind-boggling?” When asked to comment on which candidate he was talking about, Bloomberg said, “I don’t know. You can check the presidential candidates’ speeches…I don’t have time to go do it but all their speeches, everything they said.” With the exception of former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, none of the other GOP presidential candidates have jumped on the global warming bandwagon. A couple of months ago Huntsman took to Twitter, saying: To read the remainder of the post, click: http://blogs.christianpost.com/churn/2011/11/nyc-mayor-says-candidates-must-believe-in-science-global-warming-04/

And the Bible Says…

Everyone likes to quote the Bible; even non-Christians. It’s God’s written word to us and an inspired source of guidance for both believers and non-believers. The only problem is, sometimes people think they are quoting scripture when they are just throwing out an often used, but potentially useful piece of advice. So was the case with White House press secretary Jay Carney on Wednesday. In a White House press conference, Carney was responding to a question from Associated Press reporter Erica Werner on President Obama’s criticism of the House of Representatives in reaffirming “In God We Trust” as the nations motto. Obama said, “I trust in God, but God wants to see us help ourselves by putting people back to work.” Werner, in referencing the President’s remarks, asked Carney, “Isn’t it a bit much to bring God into the jobs debate?” To continue reading this post, click: http://blogs.christianpost.com/churn/2011/11/and-the-bible-says-03/

Rice Advises Cain Not to Play ‘Race Card’

Condoleezza Rice, who served as Secretary of State under President George W. Bush, is giving GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain some unsolicited and free advice: “Don’t play the race card” in what looks like a game of high stakes poker with the national media. “I actually am someone who doesn’t believe in playing the race card on either side,” Rice said in an interview on CBS’ “The Early Show” that aired on Wednesday. I’ve seen it played, by the way, on the other side quite a lot too. And it’s not good for the country.” Cain has been under intense pressure since Monday when Politico wrote a story saying that two former female employees who worked under him when he was the head of the National Restaurant Association had left the group with a severance package and confidentially clause in an agreement over sexual harassment charges levied at Cain. Cain initially denied any knowledge of the incidents, but has slowly recovered is memory and is now recalling tidbits of information as the story continues to unfold. Eric Cantor ‘Booed’ While Exercising ‘Free Speech’ at Univ. of Michigan

Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) received a somewhat less-than-enthusiastic reception from some protesters when he expressed his support for the Defense of Marriage Act while addressing a crowd of about 350 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor on Monday. At the completion of Cantor remarks, the Virginia congressman was asked: “How do you reconcile your position with states rights and the Constitution and your support of the Defense of Marriage Act?” “I’ve always been very straightforward about this. I just believe in traditional marriage between a man and a woman,” said Cantor. What came next may have been of little surprise to anyone, but believe it or not, Cantor was booed from several members of the audience. Some even protested by turning their backs to him with messages taped to the back of their clothing, saying, “Shame on you Eric Cantor.” Read the rest of the post here: http://blogs.christianpost.com/churn/2011/11/eric-cantor-booed-while-exercising-free-speech-at-univ-of-michigan-01/
