Zuckerberg and his team want whatever time you spend on Facebook to be \u201cquality\u201d time.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re going to see more content from \u201cfriends\u201d Facebook believes you will find \u201cengaging.\u201d For most individuals, that\u2019s a positive! You\u2019ll see fewer ads from major brands and stores and more stuff about your college roommate\u2019s third spouse.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a ton of misinformation going around about Facebook limiting the content you see to 25 or so friends. Is this true? My opinion this is what Facebook wants to occur.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Tip:<\/strong> If you want to increase the engagement of your Facebook posts, use Video instead of still photos. In fact, their new algorithm favors video feeds.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A video, whether it be on Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat is the way to go. And professional marketers and businesses will find it harder and more expensive to reach current and potential customers.<\/p>\n<p>It appeared Facebook was getting pushback from many users who felt inundated with ads and news stories. In order to keep users happy, they adjusted their algorithm to allow people to see more content from \u201cfriends\u201d and less from businesses. That is unless they want to pay more for it.<\/p>\n<p>The bottom line in both a figurative and literal sense is marketers are going to have to produce better and more engaging content to attract and retain customers.
